Description: A male Splendid Fairywren (Malurus splendens) sings the song during sunset in Port Sorell, Tasmania. You often see a male, female and several youngsters of this stunning bird species foraging together through the bush in Tasmania. Only the mature males display this bright-blue coloration, with the females and youngsters having a more brown plumage with a little red Zorro-mask.
